LWD distributes $150,000 in donations to flood affected families in Battambang

Bavel, Battambang (June 12, 2014) – Life With Dignity (LWD) distributed today recovery aid to 558 families and planned next week for 1,912 more families, all of whom were the poor families seriously affected by flood last year, from 47 villages of 6 communes in three districts of Bavel, Kamrieng and Phnom Pruek in Battambang province. Findings: LWD Country Strategy scores highly in rural poverty reduction effort

Phnom Penh (April 7, 2014) – Life with Dignity’s (LWD) Country Strategy 2009-2014 was in line with the Government’s National Poverty Reduction Strategy and substantially contributed to improving the livelihoods of the poor community in rural Cambodia, according to the preliminary findings of the evaluation presented at the workshop today in Phnom Penh.

Embassy of Japan, LWD Sign Grant Contract on School Construction Project

Phnom Penh (March 26, 2014) – The Embassy of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia and LIFE WITH DIGNITY (LWD) today signed a grant contract worth US$108,793 to construct a new concrete school building and necessary school facilities in Chhean Laueng Commune, some 30km from central Sameakki Meanchey district of Kampong Chhnang province.

Aoral District – The livelihood of 400 landless and land poor families who settled in on the new land granted by the government under its Social Land Concession Project (SLC), funded by Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF)/World Bank, were significantly improved over the past two years.
