Thank you

Dear Partners,

Life With Dignity (LWD) thrives on partnerships and teamwork at so many levels that it is difficult to adequately thank everyone who has or continues to support our work. That our work is supported at so many levels and by such a wide range of people is a testament to the effectiveness of our people centered, participatory, integrated, rights based empowerment approach to sustainable development. It is therefore with great pride that I attempt to say thank you to all of you whom we consider partners and even colleagues of LWD.

First of all I would like to thank all the LWD related agencies and donor partners from abroad (organizations and individuals alike) for their generous financial contributions, monitoring visits and advice in support of our program. We are working to improve our local resource mobilization but until Cambodia is better able to support it growing civil society we need you as partners. Without your full understanding of the local context, the needs and the appropriate interventions and the necessary timeframes, we would not have your commitment and could not put in place the human resource intensive approaches that have with time proved so effective.

Secondly, without the close participation of our grassroots community based organizations and participating villagers we would have no agenda let alone any accomplishments to speak of. We are therefore very grateful to the over 400 communities, their leaders interest groups with whom we have partnered and who have shared their ideas, energy, time, skills, interest, commitment, money and local resources for the benefit of all.

Lastly without the supportive working relationship of our host government and ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Rural Development, we could not operate legally in the country but much beyond that we would not have access to vital information and the strategic support for our rural base work.

On behalf of all whom have both contributed to and benefited from this partnership, please accept our heart felt thanks.

Most sincerely,

Min Sor
Executive Director
