LWD distributes $150,000 in donations to flood affected families in Battambang

Bavel, Battambang (June 12, 2014) – Life With Dignity (LWD) distributed today recovery aid to 558 families and planned next week for 1,912 more families, all of whom were the poor families seriously affected by flood last year, from 47 villages of 6 communes in three districts of Bavel, Kamrieng and Phnom Pruek in Battambang province. Findings: LWD Country Strategy scores highly in rural poverty reduction effort

Phnom Penh (April 7, 2014) – Life with Dignity’s (LWD) Country Strategy 2009-2014 was in line with the Government’s National Poverty Reduction Strategy and substantially contributed to improving the livelihoods of the poor community in rural Cambodia, according to the preliminary findings of the evaluation presented at the workshop today in Phnom Penh.

LWD inaugurates two water projects in Kampong Chhnang province

Kampong Chhnang Province (Mar 22, 2014) – Life with Dignity (LWD) today inaugurated Water Supply System Project and Irrigation Project, worth $115,538 in total in Kiri Akphivath village, Chhean Laeung commune of Sameakki Meanchey district in Kampong Chhnang province, some 30 km from the district town.

Panasonic donates solar lanterns to rural community in Cambodia

Phnom Penh (December 04, 2013) – Panasonic Corporation, one of the largest Japanese electronics producers, donated today 222 sets of solar lantern worth about US$10,000  to Cambodian rural poor community who have no access to electricity. The donation was channeled through LIFE WITH DIGNITY (LWD) under the coordination of Japan Evangelical Lutheran Association (JELA).
